PCC Release Notes

PCC releases new and improved features along with bug fixes in each software release. Click on the links below to read about any PCC software release.

  • PCC 8.1 Release
    In the summer of 2017, PCC will release version 8.1 of our electronic charting and practice management software to all PCC users. The PCC 8.1 release includes an update to the look and feel of PCC EHR, along with a massive under-the-hood maintenance update. While most of this release's work-hours were spent updating our programming infrastructure, PCC 8.1 also includes a new option for personal balances in the patient portal and customizable reports in PCC EHR.

  • PCC 7.0 Early Release
    PCC 7.0 is a special, optional software release, offered to PCC clients in the fall of 2015. If your practice uses PCC EHR and needs a 90-day reporting period in order to meet Meaningful Use for the ARRA program or for PCMH, you may elect to receive the 7.0 release.

    In January of 2014, PCC will release PCC EHR 6.19. This update includes the official shift to SNOMED-CT for charted diagnoses, problem lists, and allergy descriptions. Other new features include the completion of our Meaningful Use development for e-labs and the completion of our system backup feature overhaul. Read below to learn more.

    The January 2014 release of PCC EHR includes the completion of our switch to SNOMED-CT for diagnoses in the patient chart. This is the first part of the 2014 retirement of ICD-9, and there are some "migration considerations", or changes that may need extra planning, training, or configuration.     In January of 2014, PCC will release Partner 6.19. This release includes ICD-10 infrastructure features to support the conversion from ICD-9.     In October of 2013, PCC will release PCC EHR 6.18. This update includes bold new features, such as the ability to receive faxes in EHR, support for intra-office instant messaging, and the first part of our SNOMED-CT adaptation in PCC EHR. Read below to learn more.

    In October of 2013, PCC will release Partner 6.18. In this release Partner gains manual access to the CARC amount and group fields for secondary electronic submission, and the Practice Vitals Dashboards tool gains new screens for investigating your practice's health. Read below to learn more.

    In August of 2013, PCC will release Partner 6.17. The Practice Vitals Dashboards tool now includes an updated Details page for each metric.

    In September of 2013, PCC will release PCC EHR 6.17. This update introduces My Kids Chart, expands e-lab tools for handling unsolicited lab results, and completes many other feature requests from our clients.

    In July of 2013, PCC will release Partner 6.16. The Practice Vitals Dashboards tool now includes an informative home page, drawing key metrics to your attention. The Correct Mistakes (oops) program now helps you review ERA information to better understand a payor's adjustments, and our automatic payment posting program can now more easily handle ERAs with unusual comments.

    In July of 2013, PCC will release PCC EHR 6.16. This update introduces our upcoming Patient Portal, along with a series of feature improvements requested by our clients and improvements to our electronic lab interface features.

This update includes several improvements to Medical Summary components, including greater customizability, the ability to filter some items by status, and the ability to add Medical Summary components to your custom chart notes. We've also completed several requested features: you can now remove unwanted protocols, and the patient's room number is visible whenever the chart is open.

    In January of 2012, PCC will release PCC EHR 6.4, a major update including bold new features and answers to your frequent requests. The Schedule screen now helps you track incomplete labs and other orders, chart navigation is now cleaner and more powerful, and you can now update the patient's Problem List and Allergies while selecting diagnoses for a visit. In addition, our development team has completed a huge list of smaller requested features, bug fixes, and speed optimization changes.

    In January of 2012, PCC will release Partner 6.4, a small release that includes under-the-hood improvements, an ARRA Medicaid calculation tool, and a new logging capability.

    In December of 2011, PCC will release PCC EHR and Partner 6.3. For this release, PCC is updating the underlying Postgres database that handles your PCC EHR data.

    In November of 2011, PCC will release PCC EHR 6.2. Last month, we finished our full ARRA certification test. This month, we move on to a large set of exciting new features and answered client requests. PCC EHR 6.2 includes Flowsheets, a redesigned Medical Summary screen, several other requested features, and solutions to a series of small bugs.
