Review and Update a Single Patient’s Appointments
If you are using the PCC EHR Appointment Book, you can review a patient’s schedule in the Appointment History component inside their chart. If you use sam

Chart, Scan, and Other Partner Scheduling Reports
When you need to report on appointments, you can use the Appointment Reports section of the report library in PCC EHR.
You can create custom reports based on the parent “Appointment Report”, use the Huddle report for a daily snapshot, or examine Forced Appointment. For more information, visit Review Your Schedule With Appointment Reports.
If you use the Practice Management interface, and your practice schedules with the Scheduling Appointment Minder (sam
), Partner scheduling reports are listed below.
scan
The Appointment Book Display (scan
) displays the day’s schedule for one or more providers. In scan
, you can flip through the days of your schedule using the right and left arrow keys.
PCC can customize the information shown in the scan
report. Along with normal schedule information, it could show you who scheduled each appointment and the date the appointment was made.
The scan
report is located in the Daily Operations window within the Partner Programs window. You can also type scan
at a command prompt.
chart
The Appointment Book Display (chart
) was written to help users pull charts. It displays a single provider’s appointments for a single day without showing spaces for available appointments. chart
is usually shorter than the scan
report, making it easier to read and print.

report is located in the Daily Operations window within the Partner Programs window. You can also type chart
at a command prompt.
The samview
program shows you the sam
Day View or sam
Detailed View without needing criteria. Run samview
to use these two useful sam
scheduling screens as a report, to help manage your schedule.
While viewing any of the scheduling screens in sam, press F to see the Doctor’s Free Time report. Doctor’s Free Time is a text-based chart that displays available time for a single provider.
Doctor’s Free Time displays a single pound symbol (#) for every 2.5 minutes of available time. This allows you to quickly glance at a provider’s day and make judgments about available openings.
appts
The Appointment Summarizer (appts
) is a powerful scheduling analysis report. In appts
, you can list appointments by a variety of criteria and subtotal by provider, visit reason, and other items.

report is located in the Scheduling Reports window within the Patient Scheduling window of the Partner windows. You can also type appts
at a command prompt.
prscprint
The prscprint
report will show every provider’s in and out times for a given date or date range. When you are configuring multiple providers’ schedules and need a quick view of who is in and out of the office, prscprint
is a quick and easy reference.

bump
The bump
program lists overlapping appointments for any given day.

The squish
report displays an abbreviated schedule for any provider for an entire week. The report lists each visit reason, the length of the appointment, and the patient’s name.

The full
report displays an abbreviated daily schedule for several providers, side-by-side. Along with the time and provider, the report lists the length of each appointment, the patient’s first initial and last name, and the visit reason.

twomonths
The twomonths
report sends a calendar-style schedule directly to your default Partner printer. You can run the twomonths

) shows scheduled appointments for one or more providers and can be limited to a specific location.

Samview in Partner: Use sam’s Screens as a Report
Have you ever run sam
, selected a sample patient, visit reason, and provider, just to get a look at your schedule? The samview
program shows you the sam
Day View or sam
Detailed View without the need for a patient or criteria.
PCC can add samview
to any Partner window or to one of the configurable function keys in sam
. You can also run samview
by typing it at a command prompt.
The samview
program has two screens. Press F8 to jump between the Day View and Detailed View screens.

Day View: Compare providers’ schedules for any day, see the total minutes used and minutes available

Detailed View: See complete schedule information for a single day, including who scheduled each appointment and when it was scheduled
View the Day View
The Day View shows you a miniature version of a single provider’s schedule, allows you to switch easily among your providers, and lets you jump forward to any future date.
Use the right and left arrow keys to move back and forth between the schedule on the left and the list of providers on the right. While selecting the list of providers, press the up and down arrow keys to switch between morning and afternoon or to switch providers. The Free and Used columns show the available and scheduled minutes for each provider.
View the Detailed View
The Detailed View shows a single provider’s schedule on the left-hand side of the screen and shows detailed information about appointments on the right.
The screen displays information about each appointment, including the person who scheduled it, the date it was made, and the visit note. Use the Detailed View to review the specifics of any scheduled appointment or to look at a double-booked unit of time.
Doctor’s Free Time
While viewing any of the scheduling screens in sam
, press F to see the Doctor’s Free Time report. Doctor’s Free Time is a text-based chart that displays available time for a single provider.
Doctor’s Free Time displays a single pound symbol (#) for every 2.5 minutes of available time. This allows you to quickly glance at a provider’s day and make judgments about available openings.
Use the right and left arrow keys to cycle through the days of your selected provider. To return to the scheduling screen, press F12 or use the function keys at the bottom of the screen.
