5. Etherlite

An etherlite allows devices that are not networked, such as IBM-3153 or ATT-705 terminals, to connect to a modern computer network. Not every office needs an etherlite. If networked PCs are able to connect to Partner and your dumb terminals are not, the etherlite may be the problem.

Each device on an etherlite must be plugged into a specific, assigned port. If you wish to add serial devices or switch ports, you must ask PCC's Technical Solutions Team (800-722-1082, x2) to program the appropriate etherlite port.

Reset and Power-Cycle an Etherlite

  1. Trace the powercord from the back of the etherlite into its power adaptor.

  2. Unplug the power adaptor from the wall.

  3. Wait 5 seconds.

  4. Plug the power adaptor back into the wall.
